IN UK and IN Kenya are collaborating with Pastor Joshua to establish a permanent rehabilitation center, named the Leadership and Talent Centre, aimed at extending the rehabilitation process and facilitating successful reintegration of street youth. This center will provide a foundation for up to 15 boys at a time, with a long-term vision to support over a hundred boys within the next five years, ensuring a higher quality and continuity of care.
The Leadership and Talent Centre will serve as a robust facility, well-staffed with a Counselor, Teacher, and Social Workers, engaging in activities that actively contribute to the restoration of street youth. These activities include:
- Counselling
- Nutritious meals
- Gospel teachings
- Sports activities
- Non-formal education
- Vocational training
- Business management skills training
- Group discussions
- Camping and other creative activities
Key outcomes for street youth participating in the program will encompass:
- Empowerment and Capacity Building through Non-Formal Education, Sports, Vocational Training, and Business Training.
- Rehabilitation from the use of drugs and other harmful substances.
- Restoration through the Gospel.
- Re-integration back with their families and into society.
- Engagement and Empowerment of Families.
- Enlightenment of the Local Community.
This comprehensive approach ensures that young people are motivated to overcome detrimental addictions, leading to their restoration as individuals capable of re-engaging with their families and society.
