August 30th, Bible Club visit in Korogocho

On August 30th, our Bible Club in Korogocho joyfully welcomed 81 children an exciting growth from the 51 who joined us on our first Saturday. The children, aged 3 to 13, explored the theme of health and hygiene through the lead of bible, reflecting on 1 Corinthians 6:19 – “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit…?”

Together, we learned the importance of keeping our bodies clean as a way of honouring God, with a special focus on proper handwashing and the children learn’t when to wash hands, how to wash hands, and why washing hands matters. The children eagerly practiced handwashing, turning it into a fun and memorable activity for both them and their teachers. They also expressed their learning creatively using crayons to colour handwashing sketches and producing beautiful crafts that captured the day’s message in vibrant colour.

We reminded them that cleanliness of the body reflects the purity of the heart, and as children of God, we are called to care for both. To keep everyone energized, each child enjoyed a nutritious cup of porridge at 10 a.m. and a hearty lunch at 1 p.m., making it a day full of learning, laughter, and love.
